1997 Thunderbird 3.8; considering the trip

Yeah, I'm tempted to make a trip to this car, but it's a far drive.

Anyone need anything that would make it worth my while?

I know someone on here was looking for the dipstick tube for a 3.8. Also I could use a good condition steering wheel, but it’s hard to tell from the pictures what kind of shape that one is in.
 
Oh, never mind then. I’d rather wait for a decent leather one to come along. Keep it in mind for your future travels though.

As for the dipstick, there will be one bolt holding it to the exhaust manifold, and then theoretically it just pulls right out, however after being in place for 28 years and who knows how many miles, sometimes it isn’t so easy.

I’ve never not needed vice grips and a hammer to get one freed from the block. Those things fight me only a little less than the front ABS sensors in that I’ve never actually destroyed one lol
