2026 Hot Rod Power Tour (HRPT)

My son and I will be hitting all of the stops at this year's HRPT. it starts near Chicago and ends in Oklahoma City and should be following large stretches of Rte 66 for its 100th Anniversary.

2026 Hot Rod Power Tour Schedule
Kickoff/Day 1: June 8 – Route 66 Raceway, Joliet, IL
Day 2: June 9 – Village of Rantoul, Rantoul, IL
Day 3: June 10 – World Wide Technology Raceway, St. Louis, MO
Day 4: June 11 – Missouri State University, Springfield, MO
Day 5: June 12 – Tulsa Raceway Park, Tulsa, OK

I plan on making the trip in my black 92 SC

The Long Haul and multi-day tickets already sold out, so I bought 5 individual day tickets. Checking in daily isn't going to be fun, but that's what happens when you are super busy.

I kind of wanted to go this year since I haven't been on it in almost 20 years and we used to live on Chanute AFB in Rantoul, but who am I kidding. I have no time for that right now.

My last long haul was in 2017, so a little more recent. My son will be 15 on the tour and seems to have the car bug. I'll see if he still has the bug after getting my other 89 XR7 5 speed road-worthy after being parked for 10-15 years while robbing parts to maintain my 92 SC. We plan the car to be his 1st car.
