When we last visited this topic we've moved, and availability changes.
We left it with the Mitsu 2000 bilstein insert, with a modded tophat is the easiest, with
380zx vert shocks an option.
Late model chargers look possible.
These are in stock, 225ea
All these options require extensive customization. And a custom top hat.

The chargers are way too tall. I tested them.

I'm running reflexes on my gold car and I can't stand them. Way to soft. But I've gotten used to my red car with coilovers so there's that.

I settled for what rockauto had last year and they suck donkey balls. Want original sport struts but they don't exist. Well I have (1) but it wasn't stored compressed and I believe the gas is gone.☹️

At this point, if u have sport springs or aftermarket for the rear already, I would do the front coil-overs instead of the 3000gt mod if I didn't have them ready to go. By the time I bought the top hats and had MM put the pivot in them, I'm $400 into that setup.

The MSR coils, for a front set, was $200 last I checked. And I've tortured the hell out of mine for 3 years, still going strong.

The Charger/Challengers had some real potential, but as noted, they are about 4" too tall. Too bad. I'm just going with the SCP coil overs. Adjustable, available, and many spring rates to choose from.

What MSR coilovers are you running? All I see are Mustang and Expedition applications.

MaxSpeeding Rods. The cheap eBay brand. I've been using them on my drift car for the last 3 years. They're great, at least for what's available

I have Reflex front shocks on my Cougar with Vogtland springs. They feel alright but I do agree with you I wish they were a bit more firm. Compared to the worn out OE sport shocks they were a major improvement; they are definitely better than the other Monroe options still available. I put Sensatrack/OE spectrum Monroe on my non-sport Tbird and it was okay for daily driving.

I still have a set of new old stock Reflex for the front and back. Hopefully they are still in good condition because they are probably ~20 years old now. I still have the saved search setup on eBay, none have been listed since these ones I bought in 2019 :

Which ones did you get? They've got that one brand you can get a full set of. FCS I think.

I think they were Gabriel's. They were red.

You said the passenger side top hat had to be flipped over.
When I did it. The factory in China doesn't put the right ones on all the times. Sometimes it's two lefts, or two rights.

I have to say I’m not a SCP guy(in fact in 18 years of this hobby I’ve not bought one single item from there) but that is definitely the best front option that exists, it’s expensive but cheaper than a welder if you don’t have one.
