Found some sneaky ones

Ive had some issues awhile back, im not sure if i made a thread or talked in chatbox about them, but i had a crackling/tapping noise on cold starts only, and then another tap that would only come on with load and part throttle. (i will assume this is the belt loosening and the pulley jittering around even after it warmed up) Come to find out it is my belt tensioner and ive been worried for months that it was lower end related.

the second i put any downwards pressure on the pulley the noise went away

I also found a small leak near the radiator drain while taking pics of the suspension, so new rad incoming. Thinking about buying one of the full aluminums.

Here was the noise that that just ended up being the belt tensioner.

Did you change out the belt tensioner?

I’ve seen people let them go for too long and it would wear a hole into the front cover, then bye bye engine.

I ordered one, i just found this today sadly

Both the tensioner pulley and idler on the 4.6 are the same part, 90mm dia.
