Happy Birthday Jim3inVirginia!

Thank you! And a good Decoration Day to all! My wife made for me the traditional (my tradition) devil's food cake with buttercream frosting. Mmmm! Treated myself to an overdue update of my Maxisys software (this way I might remember when it expires). Working the church helpline today. Then out to supper at Mamma's Kitchen. Lookin' pretty good so far!

Have a good one Jim

Thank you!

Treated myself to a tow truck ride today.

Doing a little local sightseeing at Harpers Ferry WV, never been there before and I've wanted to check it out for a few years. Driving home today in the 2014 Fusion, lost power, wrench light came on, limped off at the next exit. Looked under the hood, nothing obvious, started it up and it ran fine. Got back on the highway, problem returned about five minutes down the road. Drives fine for a couple minutes when first starting it up, but I figured I best avoid getting stuck on the highway, my roadside assistance doesn't do highway rescues. To my benefit, gas station just off the highway in Jefferson MD. Asked the mechanic to do a code check (I've got plenty of scan tools but couldn't remember to bring one), said looks like the problem is with the throttle body. I'm thinking, that's a relief, doesn't sound like I have to open up the engine for that. Got a tow home, checked it. P2112 Throttle actuator "A" control system - stuck closed. Parked it on the street in front of the house, swapped it out for something else in the fleet. Will check into it next week.

All in all a good day, spent some quality time sightseeing with my wife, got a tow truck ride, got home safely, got something new to work on / play with, and got home in plenty of time for beer and supper.

Thanks!

Couple times over the last couple weeks I checked on-line for car-related events in the local area for today. Local as in 20 mile radius. I couldn't find anything that I captured my interest. So highlight of the day will be going to a local restaurant that serves prime rib. Mmmmmmm.... prime rib.
