Thanks Grog from refraining from saying "dial it in"...
And XR7, wow... That was a lot of info in a short note. I do agree though, "all rescues came from RoadKill" (it would seem). And no, your not missing much, they are all the same. And here is a good point why I think they are all the same. While watching a show, I start telling them what to do next and shake my head when they are fixing something and didn't do it the way the other 12 shows do it. (LMAO here)
I find it so disgusting that these guys pull cars out of mid-west / eastern barns, derlick garages, and debiltated storage or whatever and wear NO masks or hand protection. In this day and age, it is common sense to protect yourself now that we know what is out there. Most likely, they won't come across a hantavirus mouse, or cut themselves on a rusty piece of metal, but Murphy's Law still exists and why take the risk when all it takes is stupid face mask and some leather gloves for 10 minutes while yanking out crap from the trunk where a 3ft x 2ft pile of rat house is sitting.
I am also amazed and jeoulous of some of the cars they pull out of a "nice" barn and need little to nothing but TLC to get it on the road again.
BTW: on a side note, I finally got the Cougar out for a long drive with the wife and dang if I was not impressed at the power, handling and how quite it was. My wife seemed happy too. Not sure if she was happy because I was not screaming at the friken idiots on the road these days or cause the car drove without issue and it was a nice quite, easy cruse. I really liked that I had the A/C on had plenty of power to go up steep hills, power past the slower drivers and suck the wife back in the seat at take off (lead foot take off that is).
Have a GREAT weekend everyone!
