Post a picture you took today

They were downloaded off "warez" sites. A compressed file of the iso disk image, with a keygen and sometime a hack included to run the game. The compressed file was split up into a few dozen parts so if one of the downloads got corrupted, it wasn't that much time to redownload it. They were sketchy, and usually adds that needed to be clicked on were involved. Viruses were often a possibility too.... Lol

You don't have to tell me. I did plenty of my own downloading.

The Pirate Bay, Napster, Limewire were the big 3 back in the day.

The expectation is the PC launch of GTA6 is probably going to take a year longer. So I might actully get PS5 as well....

I've been running the GTA series on PC since I was a kid. Vice city was prob my favorite, spent a lot of time on that one. GTA 5 was pretty good though!

Since this is the picture thread, here is my burned CD with GTA2. I downloaded the game over 56K like 25+ years ago. Somehow I still have it
good stuff!

Vice City Stories is my favorite. I never had it on PSP it was originally released for so I experienced it on the PS2 rerelease a year or maybe even two after and it really is the pinnacle of all the prior games wrapped onto one in the Vice City setting but with a much grittier undertone than the original (which is my nostalgic favorite GTA). A lot of people never played that one because it was originally a PSP release and a very very late release on the old generation consoles.

GTA V I think is the most impressive from a technical standpoint, it’s literally a PS3 game that to date has barely aged through two successive generations and still feels fun. Its biggest failing is it’s utterly boring 13 years later as someone who got it day one and I have had less than zero desire to play GTA online. GTA is a single player game to me, something to just mindlessly throw on, explore, wreak havoc against police AI, listening to cool deep cut tunes or silly fictional radio shows, and maybe progress through a story mission or two. My biggest fear with VI is that it will be online focused and radio will just be nothing but present day mumblerap slop, especially with Lazlow out of the picture who curated that aspect of every prior game

Cool B-25. When we used to live on Chanute they had a bunch of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam era bombers set up around the base. Seems weird to think of it now, but everywhere you went you could stop and take a look at an old decomissioned plane.

Here's my pic of a set of installation instructions from some part I had to install written in negative 6 font. Thumb for reference. I had to use the magnifier on my phone to read them. I guess they figured nobody reads them anyway so why waste the paper?

mower dirty.jpg
Finally got to cleaning my parents mower after pulling it out for the first time this season, one province over had snow this weekend so the grass isn't growing yet (as can be seen in the back, our grass is still gold) but got it out, changed the oil, and got it quite clean. The before and after don't do it quite justice as there was a TON of old grass and leaves, used the eagle guard and boy does its foam amazing, figured the rust inhibitor that's in it is good for keeping the mower nice.

Removing stuff to reveal a bowing basement wall..

Gonna clean the gutters good, extend the downspout and attempt to water proof the worst areas. Then install braces
One thing often overlooked is the grade sloping towards the house instead of away from it. I'd shoot for 2" of drop or more in the first 3 foot from the house. Water will shed easier than soak due to finding the easiest path via gravity.

Spotted this decent looking FC.

BRAP. BRAP. BRAP. BRAP

Ever notice the taillight shape of those is exactly the same as the MN12 Cougars? It’s more noticeable on the later FCs with the black bar at the bottom
