A (almost) brand new looking 22 yr old mower brought to you buy maintenance and a good detailing. In all seriousness my parents bought this new in 2004 and have used it every summer since then, I took it upon myself to change the oil, air filter, spark-plug, get new 94 octane gas, and detail the heck outta it, it works great still and is probably more reliable then the new briggs and stratton stuff. Pretty proud of this one

Looks good. Does it start on first try?

The car only weighs 2400 lbs, so it doesn't need a ton of brake. With rear drums it does just fine as long as I keep the shoes adjusted. Just thought it was funny when I pulled it out of the box and seeing it next to a Cobra rotor.

apparently not. I swear, it looked like she hit the same car twice, lol. She was a smart girl, we ended up in several classed together. She was my lab partner for chem 1 and 2.
She was there when the cute sosh chick found out why you don't chew your pen in chem class; phenothelein solution is a rough, fast acting laxative/purgative. :)

Every year Boston Common is decorated with over 37k flags representing the lives lost from the Revolution to the present day of Massachusetts heroes fighting for our country. It’s pretty moving when you actually see it. :usa:

Yesterday, I began digging a hole to remove a tree stump. The tree was cut down during COVID for a 16ft above ground pool AND because the tree was growing directly underneath the power lines AND because it was sick and dying as well AND because we get lots of high winds here and I didn't want said tree to fall and take out said power lines. So here it is...

For reference, here is the tree back when it was sickly and dying. The part we faced looked healthy, but from the back yard looking to the house it had a hole in the main trunk going down almost to the base of the tree.

CDsDontBurn.... Is that a Sears patio roof kit I see? Looks a lot like mine.....

I had several trees cut down last year and one with unparticular is a menus. It is a black locust and the suckers went nuts this winter and especially this spring. To my amazement, spraying (anything) with 41% glyphosate on the saplings coming out of the ground, trunk and 20 feet away all died! I sprayed the leaves with a 50/50 solution of water and the concentrate every morning for about a week. It has been about 2 months and I noticed some are trying to come up again, so I made another batch and started spraying them. Word to the wise for anyone dealing with black locusts, if you cut it down, grind up the trunk and follow up with any roots sprouting with a concentrate weed and grass killer with 41% glyphosate.

When I first scrolled through this I saw bones and was like WTF have you unearthed!

Just be wary of little Demons, this is exactly how The Gate started!

Haven't seen it, unfortunately.

I'm not sure, it was here when I bought my house. Old rotted out wood and high winds destroyed ~1/3 of the patio cover.

I lost the end sleeve, pallet, whatever they are called to wind. Tore it right off.

I have a lawn mower that is similar. The pic shows the lawn mower supported on a box so I did not have to bend over so much to replace the cables. My Craftsman (though durty right now) has the "Power-Propell" feature, but the front wheels mainly spin in the grass... wonder if they make snow chains for lawn mowers. :P
The second pic shows the new cables. Third pic shows the bent cables from folding the handle for storage.

Love that, I had mine on jack-stands while I worked on it, so that it wouldn't roll around. There is something so stress-free about working on a lawn mower, both wrenching and detailing it, its like the stakes are at an all-time low compared to a car. I love it

After close to 3 years she finally got a wash and went to the local Thursday night cruise in at the vfw. View attachment 18746

Is your bird a Bill Elliot edition? I never noticed that stripe on it before.

I think the local cruise nights are starting this week, also at the local VFW, I’m going to try going to more shows this summer, I barely drove my Cougar last year

Yes it is...good eye...back tires got cleaned leaving there...I have synchro issues in my transmission but tonight she slammed right into second and put on a wonderful smoke show...the yellow line might be a little blackened now...best part was zero, I mean zero wheel hop...
