Power steering seal install

As yall know I have had issue getting the fittings to seal and some of us have issue getting the seal in successfully. Well I stumble across a cheap "tool" to get the jobs done easily.

Use a Sharpie Paint pen lid. I have done this for my 04 Expedition, worked the first time with Amazon seals. Finally got the SC seal by luck and my daughters 97 Tbrid needed a new pressure line.

RichPin! I'd recognize that how-to voice anywhere. I think Ford Tech Makuloco also has a video/method for those too. Some warm the seals up in warm water to aid in their flexibility.

This method works perfectly the first time and faster than warming it up.

Nice trick. I’ve used hot water and a tapered metal punch, but of course last time I did this I went through a number of seals, either breaking them or not sealing well.

I always make sure I have multiple spares when I do this job. About to do it again in the next few weeks when I do a repaired engine install...
