Question for Mark VIII/ J-hook wiper arm users

    Do they work right with bigger 24/22” wiper blades like you can put on the standard MN12 arms?
     
    No idea. I just transferred my existing blades, which are...?

    Well, I don't know. I imagine they are whatever the car is spec'ed for. I'm pretty certain they are the same length on both sides.

    I've read about longer blades, but I don't see the point. The only issue I have with the wipers is that they don't wipe close enough to the A-pillar, which length wouldn't solve.
     
    IIRC I have a 24" and a 20" with the mark wiper arms. I messed around with sizes a few years ago when I put them on
     
    1774313982896.pngI measured and mine are 24" and 20". Might be able to do 21" on passenger size but it would be tight and is an odd size
     
    That’s a relief. I’ve long used 24/22” on the stock arms and I do find the difference from stock worthwhile, I’ll settle for 20” on the pass side

    Top and bottom, but also partly in the mid-upper middle where they overlap. stock is 20” IIRC, having 2” of extra sweep on each end of the wiper substantially improves visibility. I always considered the 24/22 blades to be as much as a must do swap as yanking the air silencer 😆

    I remember adjusting the position of the mark wiper arms and trying a few different sizes. The mark arms have a slight different angle for sure. Probably because they park when turned off? I couldn't get anything bigger to fit.

    Idk why they would have 20" as the stock size for these cars. They look tiny..... 22" fits well for the original arms and I believe a lot of parts store updated that as the recommended size a long time ago
     
    Looks great , but will they hit the windshield cowl when turned on? I couldn't get mine to work with the bigger blade on the passenger side. :unsure:

    I have no idea, it’s super dusty so I don’t dare turn them on lol

    …but at the bottom the passenger 22” one always very mildly overlapped the cowl rubber but the edge of the wiper is elevated above it like it was
     
    I used the Tbird size wiper blades. 22” I think it is? and the cheapest ones possible because the only time my wiper blades get used is at its yearly state inspection. I would do the delete caps if I could.
