Was gonna post these in post a pic but I took so many pictures it seemed excessive, so here’s the new one size fits all destination for everyone’s travels 🙂

    Roselle cruise night season opener:

Unfortunately I intended to fetch the Cougar and hang out for the night but it was absolutely packed in cars with a line of classics queued up in attendance so I just parked outside it and wandered. A lot of the usual stuff I’ve seen was there but a lot more others I haven’t, so if you see cars in the background I didn’t take pics of that’s why, not that they aren’t cool.

I’ve noticed a lot of older guys bag on these old Challenger/Cuda interiors but I love them, I think that is the best looking cluster ever put into an automobile, not to mention the coolest shifter.

God I love squarebirds. Nobody made a vert too this seamless back then

    IMG_9344.jpegIMG_9322.jpegIMG_9323.jpeg

    Favorite color AMX

    IMG_9369.jpegIMG_9319.jpeg

    Second favorite color AMX

This is clearly a fake z/28 but I love it, the paint is rough(rougher than the picture picks up but it looks fun. The 80-81 wheels look oddly good on it and I’m a sucker for slapper bars and houndstooth

I’ll always love these Studebakers because of Fozzie Bear…

    IMG_9374.jpeg

Now picture Fozzie Bear in Two Lane Blacktop! 😆

    IMG_9303.jpegIMG_9364.jpeg

    Boring 57 Chevy

    IMG_9352.jpeg

    But wait!

    IMG_9350.jpegIMG_9351.jpeg

Not so boring fenderwell headers! 😍

(Btw that is possibly the most perfect picture I’ve ever taken, completely by accident)

Something about a souped up late second generation black Camaro just makes me want to rob a gas station.

A few personal cars, the green cutlass is not far off from the one my Dad had when he and my mom married

    IMG_9343.jpegIMG_9348.jpegIMG_9300.jpegIMG_9301.jpeg

This 60 Pontiac is almost the spitting image of the one my dad’s uncle Jimmy had at one point, the silver interior is absolutely stunning and the pics don’t do it justice. This model is also the origin of the Pontiac split grill

    IMG_9342.jpegIMG_9341.jpeg

I’ve actually seen this Nomad around last few years but first I got up close to it, very nice LS swap where it’s actually appropriate (in a Chevy!!!)

    IMG_9335.jpegIMG_9336.jpeg

This caused a double take… I thought “cool 87 Grand National” but it’s in fact an even cooler(to me) Regal T-type with the Turbo 3.8! (believe it or not T type didn’t mean Turbo, you could get a NA one)

    IMG_9305.jpegIMG_9338.jpeg

And for a few cool beaters

    IMG_9368.jpegIMG_9353.jpeg
    IMG_9349.jpeg

    This cutlass can’t decide if it’s a 68 69 or 70 😆

    IMG_9347.jpegIMG_9346.jpeg

    Misc.

I’m really not a hot rod guy especially when they’re SBC powered like this, but the 33/34 body with the 32 grille I thought was pretty cool

    IMG_9329.jpeg

I took absolutely zero pictures of the exterior of this S197 Roush Mustang but under the hood was a 3V with all the FRPP goodies I remember in the catalog back in the day. I really wanted wrinkle blue valve covers at one point… after looking up close at these…. Meh…

    IMG_9366.jpeg

Here we have a 54 Ford 6 cylinder… why on earth did anyone ever pay mechanics in the 50s? Can there be anything more simple to DIY???

    IMG_9340.jpegIMG_9339.jpeg

    MK3 Supra

    IMG_9331.jpeg

I’m going to guess 91(?) Mustang GT based on pony wheels and 2 tone? Pretty clean but I have a bit of a love/hate with the LX taillight retrofit(the cheesegraters were admittedly dated for the longest time, sure but they look cool again now)

    IMG_9330.jpeg

I have to admit, I’m not a GM fan but I did love Pontiac, and it doesn’t get much more Pontiac at its peak than this 65 Grand Prix

    IMG_9307.jpeg

    Tri-power ✅

    IMG_9308.jpeg

    4-speed ✅

    IMG_9310.jpeg

And of course the super cool fined aluminum drum/wheels ✅

I like the cutlass line more and more each time!

I know someone that had all of those cars; god, all the pix I took as a kid, and I never walked the neighborhood and took pix of cars. smh.

Great pics Matt! I loved it. So many awesome American cars. I think I only saw 1 import. Cars shows here have so many imports it nice to see American muscle at its finest.

There are more import balanced and import heavy spots/events as well, my town’s cruise nights has always been more on the American muscle spectrum going way back (not that I’m complaining lol)

My resolution for the year is to try to get out to shows more often this summer, so I’ll have more variety to come as well

The orange striped white camaro is a 69 Indy Pace Car Camaro; David Aytes Had one in the late 70's.those were cool; We went to bristol one year in it.
The 2 tone mustang is a 93; I had a buddy with one.
The 78 Cutlass is where I lost most of my hearing, from an underdash Craig Powerplay 8- track deck, lol. VH, Mothers Finest, BOC, Motorhead... Loved those days. :)

I know, it’s also written on the door 😆 the wildest part about it is the orange houndstooth interior!

There’s really no tell that I can detect without looking at the vin to know if it’s a 91 or 93, the colors and two tone were available in that year range, as were the 16” pony wheels beginning in 91

that green 78/79 cutlass is almost the same as my dads when I got my license. his was tri-tone the vinyl top was light light green the hood and top fenders was light green then the bottom was that dark green with that same dark green interior. it was a looker for sure lol

I think I’ve seen that combo on Cutlass Supremes of those years before in other colors.

I actually screwed up in my recollection, I sent my dad the pics but his green Cutlass Supreme was the 76 he had a few cars before, the 79 he had when he and my mom married was black with a white top and red interior, and it was a non-AC car which he really really regretted🤣

Harrods car was white with red vinyl and interior. I do remember the green on green; they were a bitch to see sometimes, lol. I live in a rainforest at times, lol.
