So update, the mfs I ordered from rock auto and I installed it, I tried to put the left turn signal on and the washer fluid sprayed and the wipers wiped, it was like it was assembled wrong and the functions were not right.
Arrrh, So I got a refund and they told me to keep it unless they ask for it back so I am only down shipping, I ordered a different one that seemed like it came from a reputable brand who only does mfs.
I got it today, installed it and it worked, until the turn signals flashed a couple times and now they don't work again at all. I would be mad except I have reason to believe that the flasher relay might be bad and the switch is still fine (what are the chances I order two new mfs and both are bad) So my simple question is this, where is it located and more importantly, how can I bench test it to see if it is indeed bad? I figure continuity would tell me if the internal connections are still good. Also, the hazards are still functioning 100% fine so would they be on a different relay then? I have to assume so because they have worked regardless of what state the car is in.
I appreciate the advice
thanks

Aftermarket ones suck. buy motorcraft, or fix the original. To test it, plug it in.
