You don't call out nuts or bolts by wrench size; you can order different wrench sizes for some.
I have 6mm bolts that are 8mm and 10mm heads.

All threaded fasteners go by the 'nominal diameter,' which is halfway down the thread.

So i take it your pop was the balljoint itself? my arm itself was just loose where it mounted to the frame, but i will be replacing anyways with a greaseable arm

Yes the ball joint itself. I took a video to add here and hopefuly I remember when I have a chance.
