I know they have the 1989/95 version on eBay. I have 2 sets of those. I'm looking for the elusive 1996/97 version. I'd like to find some brand new, but used would work. I've got cash or trades.

Fair enough but I'll never get them if I don't start trying. I'm not expecting it to be quick. It's just part of the process lol.
I wonder if you cracked the clear/ ambers open if you could just remove the orange reflector. I can second on wanting clear corners but from everything ive seen they are obsolete and or very rare to come across

These are super hard to get open, I broke a few sets of them when I made my black housing headlights.
They were a little bit cheaper then though. 😆

You still got those broken ones? Lol (seriously tho?)

I don't remember if I kept them but I might have a set of the knock offs in storage that I took off my Cougar. IIRC they dont have the reflector on the side so they look a bit different than the picture you posted.

I thought the clear corners were the knock-offs. I'm interested to see what you have if you can get a picture.

There are Depo clear corners, and then an inferior off-brand version of those. The second is the knock-off.

They’re both knockoffs in the sense that they aren’t OEM but the ones that don’t have a reflector are a knockoff of a knockoff 😆

They also don’t have the ribbed texture inside that matches the headlights, it’s more of a frosted glass texture weirdly

I saw the reflector-free knock-off² in the junkyard once. They appeared to age very badly.

Also, funny side note: there's a parts site which at some point advertised stock reproductions (with amber reflector) using a black & white photo, prompting some buyers to think they were clear reflector units and being disappointed upon delivery...
