Hey guys I’ll be at this yard for another hour or so, I don’t have a lot of tools and I have some dibs of my own but lmk the TCs interior is pretty mint

    Ooh I think it’s a collectors edition

Bad news is the wood on the wheel is pretty roached

Too bad the steering wheel doesn't look good...

The headrests, if good/cleanable, are a must have in my opinion for any 97 Light Prairie Tan owner. I already have a set, but others may be interested.

The shift knob, though I think the only piece of  fake wood in this interior, could be sought after just because of rarity.

If you can get that wheel, it's in better shape than mine and it looks like it might even be the right color. Shifter handle too to match. :)

I got my haul but I’ll probably go back with more substantial tools if there’s enough interest(I basically just had screwdrivers vice grips and basic socket set today)

The Turbo coupe is the real gem there, it barely even has rust! I don’t know if these are really hot items these days but the disc brake 4 lug 3.73TL the autos came with was a hot ticket upgrade item to Foxbody Mustangs

I did grab the bezels which are mint, only the tabs on the bottom of the center stack one have damage

Hmm, well if you go back and it's still there (and they don't want an arm and a leg for it) I might beg you for it anyway and try one of those leather dye kits to get it to be a closer match to mine. At least in my case virtually all interiors are a lighter color - can't really effectively lighten up leather, but you sure can darken it. :)

Sad to see an older SC sitting in the junk yard. Owner probably drove the shit out of it till the turbo blew up.

I will eventually need the brittle lock/window switch covers. Not dying for it though

    It’s dark brown

Yup, it would be the perfect steering wheel for me if in good condition. Dark Prairie Brown so-to-speak.

But I haven't really been looking because A. I would have to do something about my black airbag, and B. I think the 97/98 Mark wheel is actually not fully compatible with my steering column (didn’t I read that somewhere on here).

    @theterminator93
I actually keep seeing ads for leather dye kits, though the brand name escapes me now. Even replacing the leather would be easy-ish because, thanks to the wood parts, you'd be working with two smaller leather pieces. Would be a nice addition to your interior.

I wonder if those are shared with other Lincoln’s, I never thought to look…

Funny enough that’s why I went today 🤣

Also got the J hook wiper arms from that mark, some harness connectors I’ve been looking for and a really mint rear view mirror from a Fusion, seems to be identical to ours.

Ah, I keep forgetting I could use a new mirror. The reflective backing got little dots in it, so I had to replace with a bigger one at the time. What year Fusion?

This was the 10-12 one, but I’d think earlier would work as well. The ones I saw in a few 4th gen Tauruses looked the same shape/mounting as well but they were trash.

Crap. Wish I saw this earlier!

I may be interested in the cluster surround.

I was hoping you would be! 😆

I will most likely be going back, this yard tends to hang onto inventory for quite a while

Not likely, but I'll ask all the same (since you mentioned mirror glass), if the driver's side view mirror is the heated variety (I don't care if it's the electrochromatic mirror but if so it can't be brown), I could use the glass from it (I assume you know how to pop it off the alignment mechanism base). Mine has a stick-on cover over the presumably brown-tinted OG and the defrost takes a while to work.

It’s trashed, I happened to notice the glass(or I should say lackthereof) when I saw the puddle lamp dangling from it

Does the Gen II shifter handle come off the same way as the Gen I and MN12 ones(eg staple clip on the front/pull up)? I dont know if I ever pulled a Gen II one out before, I dont want to break it when I go back

    No.

Two torx screws on the aft side of the post. You have to push down the shroud, which I think requires shifting out of Park.

See? I would have destroyed if if I were too hasty 😆

You know the torx size off hand? I’ll make sure I pre pack
