Does anyone happen to have a diagram for reference? Or confirm the one I have is correct. My motor has a distributor not coils.
I did a head gasket job on my little car and it has a rough vibrating acceleration, but once at highway speed it seems fine.
I replaced plugs, wires, cap, and even the coil along with MAF and IAC sensor.

I wanted to make sure I didn't make a bone head mistake before taking it all apart again.
No leaks and all went back together well. I get a very intermittent Check Engine Light.
Is there an actual port to plug in any kind of diagnostics? I heard there was one of sorts under the hood up front on the passenger side?

You can check the codes with a paperclip if you have one handy. You have to find the EEC-IV test port which from what I recall is up in the engine bay near/on the passenger upper shock tower. Maybe not exactly, it has been a few years. Then all you do is jump the two ports as shown below (the red line shown going from the self test input to the upper lh pin on the block connecter) and go inside and turn the key to on, but do not start. The check engine will flash the codes to you.

Your firing order shown above looks good to me. What brand wires did you use? New parts are not a guarantee of good parts these days unfortunately.

There are some self-tests you can run, as well as get the codes, with that method.
