Wanted 97 LE Stripe kit

After seeing this car, and the condition it is in I am learning towards repainting this car the original colors and keeping it, but the stripes are messed up so I was wondering if anyone had these in red. I also saw on TSTSNBN someone had tried to copy these.

I doubt you’ll be able to find an original one, however if you get accurate measurements, I’m sure it could be reproduced.

They are ripped and there are holes everywhere, they're faded terribly as well.

Why not just mask off and paint it on instead of using decals?

I’d probably paint them on, the one on the quarter panel is the only one that has the limited edition script so maybe have a decal made of that in the body color to go over the red paint?

That is a really good idea that slipped my mind, the two on each side that say limited edition are still in good condition so I may still even be able to keep those.

I'm not 100 percent yet, but I think eventually it will happen. Although for now header panel at least will be getting swapped with the blue one.

@Rodeo Joe had the stripes replicated for his car. I think it was done by a print shop (?).

You could always find a header panel elsewhere. I have seen them come up for sale here occasionally

Yeah that is an option, but since the new one doesn't drive because of the transmission I think I should put the good header panel on the driving car not the one sitting.

I would love to be able to know where to get them even on the off chance I do get rid of the car it would still be a nice thing to know where you can get them.

Dang, I would really like to have a kit to put on it.

I remember seeing them on ebay, maybe 10-15 years ago. They showed up in a search after I bought the tbird.

I agree with some of the other posters. With access to a paint and body shop, I'd go for paint over stickers. Paint will be much more durable.
