For your consideration, my old mirror prior to the Homelink installation. I'm selling this cheap because, frankly, the best I can say about it is that it's fully functional.

I'm not terribly fond of this style two-piece bracket (see photo). I prefer the single piece brackets with screw, which are easier to remove and less susceptible to vibration. There are some minor scratches around the outer perimeter.

Originally taken from a '15 Taurus, it's yours for $10 plus shipping.

Are the 2 wires just power and ground? Thanks.

Yes, ON with ignition, which you find at the B-pillar in a connector near the driver's seat belt retractor.

I still have another pin for the connector on the mirror, so you could add reverse inhibitor (i.e., the mirror goes to fully bright when shifting into R, which Taurus has from the factory); I was just too lazy to wire that in. You'd have to research where that pin would go in the connector; I don't remember.

I am interested. Would this work on a 95 Town Car by chance?

I looked and my mirror is one them fancy electrostatic jobbies and has like 5 wires coming out of it. Wonder if that would work in the Cougar? Hmmmm

Yes. rear view mirrors with a few exceptions are fairly universal, the mounts don’t vary much and many manufacturers actually use the same supplier for the mirrors themselves so it’s usually just a matter of wiring in power ground and reverse input(for auto dim to shut off in reverse automatically).
