I’ve ask this question with the Facebook group but received little to no help. I’ve also check the original Tccoa website, but searching through that site sucks donkey nuts. So I decided to make a thread here.

i’m planning on doing a manual swap with my bird in preparation for when the 4r70w inevitably fails. I looked at the manual swap guide on this forum and one of the parts required is a super coupe clutch pedal assembly, which unfortunately is like finding a unicorn these days. I heard that people have used the mustang pedal but they require cutting down due to its size. Although I’m not against the idea, I would like to use a hydraulic clutch system. If anyone can share some wisdom on me, it would gladly appreciated

The best one I’ve seen was what @DANTB94 did using S197 pedals which are hydraulic. Takes some fab (hole sawing the firewall for the clutch master (as you have to do with the SC one too, it just comes out in a different spot) and making an adapter bracket that mounts to the brake booster studs which the pedal assemblies can bolt onto. Pretty simple really, I’d copy this if I was doing a manual swap today

Is there any benefit to using alternative pedals other than availability?

I’d say not really, the Wilwood one mentioned might give you more selection in master cylinders I’d imagine but on the other hand the factory SC one seems perfectly matched with all the slave options and is remarkably cheap. The Mustang pedal assembly I posted is probably the best bang for the buck but the downside is the adapter setup would effectively necessitate removing the pedals if you needed to replace the brake booster down the road.
