Of course I don't have the correct wrench size! Why would I? My 1" wrench doesn't fit and the next Suze I have is 1-1/4.

I'm assuming it's about 27mm or 1-1/16. Will somebody please verify so I can order the correct wrench. As Ross The Oliver Man on YouTube would say... "Just seas of sadness..."

1-1/16 works. I made a “special tool” to make getting it loosened easier from the bottom :camaro:

put a grease rag on nut and use your oversize wrench. May have to double it depending on the fabric thickness. anything to take up that extra 1.6mm. Hope you have some Sea Foam Deep Creep or Kroil to penetrate the fittings.

I borrowed a 1-1/16" open end wrench. Nut soaked overnight with PB Blaster. Used a 4' cheater bar from the underside. Took that much to make it move. It didn't snap free, it was difficult turning. After breaking loose (45° rotation) I used the wrench to finish.
