Guess it’s time to start a thread for the build. Ditched the 3.8 SC and went with a 351w. Still haven’t decided what I’ll do for power adder in the future, but I’ll get there eventually. Just taking it one step at a time.

This is my own projecting but I love NA V8s so a 393 or 408 stroker would be my vote!

Unless you're finding a used supercharger on the cheap, or using Chinese turbos, you'll make more HP per dollar with cubes. 205cc heads, good single plane intake and matching cam and your around 550hp with a stroker kit like Matt said.

The beauty of this is you have to get good rods and pistons to run boost anyway, so why not throw a few extra bucks into a stroker kit. For $500-1000 you have an extra 50 ci to work with. Then if boost comes later you're ready for it and have a strong foundation.

Very nice! You have no idea how much can’t wait to see it under the hood, carbed MN12s are few and far between and there’s only one (392bird) that didn’t look like it cost the usual $47.88 club standard

I can’t wait to put it in there and see it either, all this work will be worth it. I have to see this other carbed bird. Get some motivation

When it was NA at least, he put a centrifugal supercharger on it at some point with obviously a different intake(still carbed though)

Yeah, top mount brackets from a 5.0 bird or cougar, and lower brackets from the 3.8

Switch install for the fuel pump and distributor.

Re-wired everything so I can still use factory gauges for oil pressure, water temp, and tachometer aswell.
