"Ford Racing" is Back

Ford could’ve just brought it back without announcing it since nobody outside of ford called it “ford performance”

Solid 🥱 for me. Now if they renamed it Motorsport I’d be excited

I want to see some love for us like chevy does; I'd love to see stuff for enthusiasts!
An all alumunum 429 block with DOHC heads, and modern injection and ignition!
A 390 given the same treatment!

They only had stuff for the 5.0, in the 80's. No love for my '86 2300cc 5 speed Escort Sport, lol.

I had a Hot red head girl I went to college with in mid-late 80's that drove an escort sport. One morning I had to pick her up to go to class and came back at lunch to see why it overheated and died. Well, I added my spare coolant and checked the oil to learn it was dry. Apparently the bone heads at quick lube left plug loose or out completely and when it got hot it cracked the head. She wound up scrapping the car because the insane cost for what was essentially a one of a kind head like a xr4ti or something. That was forever ago..

Also don’t forget Motorsport SVO, which was the interloper between Motorsport in the 89s-90s and Ford Racing in the 00s-10s, which for us is the most relevant. It’s the very reason SVO superchargers are called SVO superchargers.

@XR7-4.6 daaamg that’s clean, they also made the SVO intake right like the bullitt style??

Chronologically the Bullitt intake is “SVO style” The SVO came first along with SVO heads in the late 90s as an over the counter upgrades to the 96-98 4.6 GTs before the PI engines debuted. The Bullitt was the updated PI equivalent but because they decided to equip it in the special edition Bullitt mustang in 01 as well as MotorsportSVO being renamed to Ford Racing it became known as the Bullitt intake in catalogs too

If I know Ford like I think I do I am betting it will be full of Bronco fender flares and parts for my new Mach-E Mustang. Let's face it, there will be absolutely nothing for us in this. I just keep my mid 90's SVO catalogs handy for leafing through from time to time instead.

oh makes sense, I just hope they come back with some good products.

I think even dodge is bringing back direct connection, their factory backed parts from back in the day.

Nice to hear they are actually calling it a team. But if they don't win, they will probably scrap the project again. Too bad the money Ford uses in racing can't be used for regular production jobs here in the US.

At reasonable prices! When I look back through the prices in my 2008 Ford Racing catalog I wish I bought half of what was in there in hindsight! “Ford Performance” parts as it exists now have way less variety available priced 2-3 times higher and it ain’t inflation or tariffs to blame, just pure greed.

And like said it won’t be for us. Ford doesn’t care about the SN95/New edge era anymore than they do MN12s. You’re better served by LMR or AM now a days which make a lot of the stuff Ford Racing used to (albiet not quite as good quality). From Ford today it’s all going to be current gen Mustang and Bronco crap
