I’m a new member but this is my second post, y’all seem like a fun bunch and this looks like a great spot to ask a bunch of questions about thunderbirds.
Bought my T-bird few years ago as a project car that I built with my grandfather, I was 14 at the time so it was quite a new experience.

Since then I spent the summers mostly at my grandfathers house working on it, I’d go up for 2 weeks at a time and come back home
It had broken power steering and needed some new brakes so the first thing we did was order some new lines and rotors/pads
While waiting for that we stripped the interior, some sections of the flooring had loads of rust as well of the seat frames, they were completely no good. Carpets were also full of rust.

We took a seat frames out of a separate parts car, which I cleaned up the rust on and primed/painted it. They also happened to be powered seats so that was a nice little upgrade.

After that we fixed the power steering issue, put the new brakes on, and found some front and rear bumpers for the thing

by then summer was comming to an end, and I went back home for the rest of the year. I was in school so I didn’t have many opportunities to make the trip up to go see the car. Had to wait till the next summer to continue

She got quite dusty while I was gone. During this summer we kept working on it, mostly doing some interior stuff, got the interior all back together with the new carpet and she was starting to look complete. We got it ready for an MVI during this time too.

After that it was basically complete, I brought it home and it’s been giving me a few issues here and there, but nothing I couldn’t handle so far!
I’m looking to fix up some suspension this summer aswell as try and get it painted (going to be doing the paint job myself so hopefully it goes well)
