My current relocation kit has been a leaky POS.
The block plate I think is the leaky problem. The AN fittings and the filter plate seem ok.

Has anyone found a high quality kit? Post a link.

I'm using a copy of an mmr plate,an10 oil lines to a oil filter holder from summit. The plate on the engine is 3/4" aluminum; I don't expect any leaks.

I'm pairing that with a Derale filter holder. AN10 braided stainless oil lines.

This is what I actually bought.

Thank you!

I think my leak is where the OE adaptor accepts the spin on relo housing. I see this replaces that adaptor altogether.

If I go this route looks like I need to find a 90 degree coolant bend to duplicate the OE adaptor.

My Town Car adapter leaked at the seal to the engine block. It was a bitch to get to and replace the seal. Has not leaked since.

Does your kit use the gasket or O-Rings to seal it to the block? The gasket that White Lincoln refers to above is a relatively common leak point on the 4.6. I'd try looking at the plate to block seals first before you buy a new kit.

I’ve got the cheap kit that spins on to the OE oil filter location. I’m assuming that’s where it’s leaking due to the drips but there is oil residue eveywhere.

If I can get to it, I’ll take a look at the adaptor gasket too….good advice. I can’t rule out a leak there until I get to it.

I’m tempted by the part in Grogs link above.

My factory ones have gone bad almost yearly, all 3 cars. My symptom for them going bad is always it leaking pressure off the cooling system, making it boil over. They leak pressure into the oil, after the car is off.
Hooning probably has a lot to do with that. :)

I think you’re either drastically overtightening or undertightening the bolts, personally 😆

Matt, I have glued them on with black rtv, they still fail the gasket originally with oil pressure into coolant, then it leaks off 20 psi coolant after failing under 120psi oil pressure t 0psi coolant.
What kind of oil pressure are you seeing?

I would clean the area off and take a look. If it is that gasket, be aware there are two styles. I can't remember which one we need. It isn't too bad to do on our cars. I think I did most of the work through the wheel well.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but does anyone have a good oil filter relocation kit they recommend? I’ve been toying with the idea of doing this for awhile now.
