97s will also only come with 16” wheels

My newest addition begs to differ with it's 15" wheels.

I haven't tore into it yet, but I'm curious to know if it also has the smaller rotors, which from what you're saying, it likely does since it has the 15" wheels. If so, I'll need to bring over those calipers over from my Pearl T-Bird which is a true sport.

What’s the door sticker say under spring? I highly doubt that is a sport

Look at the spring code on the door tag. Sports will either say JJJJ or JJEE

97s will also only come with 16” wheels and the larger brakes

When you said this, I'm reading this as "all 97s regardless if they're sport or not, come with the larger wheels and brakes".

And when you ask this, and I say "33GG", you're going to tell me "it's not a sport, so no", which I will rebut with the, "you said ALL 97s"

LOL

Actual door tag for reference.

I said all 97s answering a question pertaining to sports, don’t blame me for your skimming lol

But saying "All 97s" applies to all 97s though. Had you said "all sports" then it would be to "all sports". Or even, "all 97 sports" would have been better and leave less mis-interpretation.

Also, I didn't skim. I'm just a very literal person and I'm debating this with you for the next literal person who may read this thread who knows how many months or years from now getting into this platform

Ok fine, literally all 97 Ford Thunderbird LX Sport automobiles have 16” wheels lol

(I mean considering my post was an answer to a quoted question as to what to look for to decipher whether or not a car is a sport it seems fairly self explanatory but to each their own)

All anniversary Cougars had 16" wheels, where those also "Sports"?

Kind of wondering, but mostly dragging out this ridiculousness🤣

Actually yes! They had the JJJJ/JJEE springs and Mark VIII brakes as part of the package. The only not-sport thing about them was the spoiler wasn’t standard as it was for normal sports in 97.

Also .. my Super Coupe has 16" wheels and JJ springs . Except they aren't sport wheels; they are just SC wheels. And no spoiler. 🤔

Then you go down the rabbit hole of SC's perhaps having different/better sway bars. Also have heard the rumors of sport models being equipped with different control arm bushings.
