I've had to modify lot of the intake system to make it fit in my car so I stripped the paint and polished the tubes, hat etc.
To keep the look I've needed to do the throttle body and SC feed tube. Seeing as the intake system has to all come off to do injector orings now is the time.
But boy is too hat tube a convoluted casting!
Decided to clean up what I don't need.

Welds look very nice. 👍 You should be wearing a dust mask at minimum though.
I was going to mention that weld job... very clean and professionaly done. Kudos to you!
 
20 minutes in the bolt been there and done that!
 
It took awhile to sort out how to fit the intercooler piping and the pieces were very poor cast so getting a clean polishable weld took a few passes. Building the oil pickup in the pan was more work than the tunnel.
