Question mainly for the MO guys. To Stop or Not to Stop

On the return trip from NE St Louis is looking like to be the cut off for stopping for the night, any further along loses it point. St Louis is ~4hr from the house meaning 8hrs for travel at that point.

Cape Girardeau is another possibility, weighing options but family not real keen on either for the night.

Opinions on staying in/around St Louis or Cape?

Schedule has us leaving Friday the 27 at the earliest form NE at Noon, putting St Louis at between 8-10pm.

If you are just using STL as a stopping point, there are plenty of good spots to stay. There are a few newer hotels just south of I-270/255 at the Butler Hill exit on I-55.
