Finally got round to sorting out the laquer peel on my car that's been developing for about 10yrs. I did it all myself with custom mixed rattle cans. 6 cans of primer, 12 cans of colour and 5 cans of 2-pack laquer. I've still got the bonnet to do,but it's turned out pretty well so far.

LOVE the color! Nice work too. I have been getting things ready to do my hood and rear trunck lid. Life keeps getting in the way. Now it is way too hot(mid to high 90's) and humid here in deep south ga.

You have to pick the right day. Coordinating when you've got available time and suitable weather is very tricky. I was able to do it outside my company's workshop which is away from residential houses. You wouldn't want the overspray mist being too close to houses, particularly the 2-pack lacquer.

I was wondering where you took it to spray the color, all I knew is I didn't recognize the venue. It has been pretty hot and humid here recently... glad you found both good weather and a good location to give it a try. :)

May the weather be fair, no wind, and just the right moisture to guide the paint onto you hood.... :P

(some stupid proverb I made up from some other stupid proverb someone else made up....)

Looks nice, even for a rattle can. Much improved! Did you do a final wet sand with higher grit? That seems to be the trick to making it look good as possible.

Fuck my neighbors. If they have a problem with dust, they can close their windows.
LMOA! I was mowing my half grass, half sand lawn last night and the ground was a bit dry. The lawn mower did a great job at dusting my neighbors windows, cars and anything else the dust would stick too. I had to laugh cause I have to put up with her fricken Chinese elm "seeds" landing in my yard for the last 30+ years. And those friken "seeds" do not disintegrate in the ground, they stay there, for a long, long time until the wind or lawn mower picks them up. HA! Revenge can be sweet, says my God... :P
