My sunroof got stuck open and i left it open planning to get to it in the morning. Smh. It rained.

I dried the car the best i could, and cleaned out the sunroof bit by bit with some hemostats and greased it with white lithium. Works fine now and doesnt get stuck, but im curious. How difficult is it to clean the drains? ill assume id be pulling the headliner?

Not difficult. Some compressed air and it'll shoot any and everything out.

Fronts are easy. I can't remember if I've ever been able to access the rears on these. Most of the time they are so far back and so hard to access that you can't. I usually use some 1/8" OD nylon tubing and some aforementioned compressed air. Don't get too crazy though or you can push the drain tubes off of what they are pressed onto and then you are probably looking at dropping the headliner. I've never had one come off.

Alright. i need to get a good cleaning in there anyways, and my headliner is trashed.

For moisture, if its not too late, "Dry Z Air" is a product I've used. I seal up the car and put it on the floor mat

I cleaned the rear drains while I had the rear speakers out. I never found the fronts, but they need cleaning.

I had a storm roll thru while I was in a meeting after lunch one year. Of course the windows were down and sunroof open, lol.
I saw the rain hit out the conference room window, while I was presenting a new design. :) After the meeting was over, I went out and opened the door, and a foot of water poured out. I left it parked under the carport for a week with the windows down, and 90 degree weather and it finally dried out. I toweled as much out as I could, and opened all the rubber plug drains. The trunk was even full, lol.

I didnt even think about the rear drains but id assume if i dont want my bird to end up as rusty as my cougar i should get to them

You'll need the cage and catch basin if you get it. The pebbles go in the cage and liquefy. It seems to work because I'll get less in the basin on drier days. Haven't had to use it in a long time, thankfully
