We’ve talked about the Walbro pump to death. I’m completely stock v8 with no immediate plans to upgrade. Should I still order a Walbro or is there another good pump to install?

Just went through this myself. FWIW I went with an Aeromotive; haven't installed it yet. If you get a genuine Walbro pump it would be a great option. As you probably know they are heavily counterfeited to the point that sometimes you wont know if you got a real one or not.

That is the one I bought it's obviously way more pump than my car will ever need at 340 LPH. But my reasoning for getting it is mostly for wanting the best reliability and quality. Aeromotive also isn't counterfeited from what I have found, and they are made in the USA. I didn't know about the brand until @MadMikeyL mentioned them in a similar thread I made.

Delphi is a good brand, I put one in my '02 Navigator, it worked fine. I almost went that route for my Cougar but having the best chance of never having to drop the tank again was worth the extra price to me. Plus it's future proofed if I do decided to add more power.

When the original pump died on my 96 Mark, I used a Bosch replacement. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to see how long-lived it was, because the car met an untimely demise 3 years later. :(

I remember reading against Bosch in our cars, maybe just the O2. I find it amusing, over in the explorer forum they recommend Bosch on the 2nd gen Ex’s.
