Hey folks....

It feels like twenty years ago in here!!! I was on TCCoA in the old days...I haven't had a bird in a LONG time, but, so many familiar usernames in here. I have a Bronco Sport Badlands now. I think it's my favorite vehicle ever. Almost never see any birds/cats on the road. So strange, because man....they used to be everywhere.

I left my Ford Parts position after 14 years, it was time for a change. Going to HCC to get into healthcare. I start next month, and I will finish in May. Starting out as an EKG technician, and we will see where that leads. I wish I had made this move ten years ago.

The BIB BIG BIG thing that made me change direction, was THREE retinal detachments this year, one on Good Friday, the next May 3rd, and then another May 14th - three surgeries, and each one 7 to 10 days laying face down to attempt recovery....after the third surgery, I had weekly eyeball injections with Methotrexate...for ten weeks. So, it has been quite the year. Oil in my left eye, possibly forever....the retina is very thin. Watching the right eye, hopefully that retina stays together. Moving forward with my education plans, because, well, why not.

Welcome! Not too late to get another birdcat :) Theres an SC for sale in Houston

Welcome and best of luck with your eyes. They are precious commodities and you seem to be doing everything you can to keep them that way. My mom had those injections due to same issue, retinal detachment. She is 92 now and my sister did not see where they were doing much for her so they pulled the plug on the injections. Nothing has changed. Not at all saying for you to go down that road. My mom has sever dementia so it's kinda pointless to keep putting her though the shots.

Hang in there with your eye issue and best of luck with your new job!

Glad you found the place Earl, welcome!

I just had cataract surgery on my left eye, nothing like what you went through but hopefully you have no more issues. I had a retinal tear in the left eye that was repaired almost 2 years ago. That's why eye exams are important, I was heading for detachment if it wasn't caught in time.

Maybe another bird once I am finished with school and working and all of that...for now...well, I have a ton on my plate. I think I want a two door bronco, if anything. Planning on taking my BSBL to Hidden Falls next month!....whats the photo upload size limit on here?

Welcome back Earl.

You sold me your SCT X4 back in the day. I pulled it out recently so I could do some datalogging; you had left your receipt/invoice in the box, made me say, "I wonder whatever happened to Earl."

Good to hear you're still kicking and wish you best of luck with your eyes.

I want a 2-door 6-speed Bronco in Eruption Green but I'm not sure I'd be happy in it as a daily driver/commuter.

I have bought and sold so many SCT tuners at this point it's all a blur....as far as comfort goes, I have thought about that too.....my Bronco Sport is probably better as a daily than a full size....so far, I haven't stuck it in the mud, and I have tried my hardest. It's so fun.
