Exhibit A. A fine looking low mile '88 Mustang GT T-Top. It's one of one! Now if it had some secret factory supercharger or it was the only one painted a certain color, sure, great. In the end, almost every car is one of one if you break it down far enough.
 
I love how extreme rarity can be based on crap nearly no-one wanted. Recently watching a car show some late 60s Mustang that had an odd combination of parts including a base 351 was described as such. It's rare because some of the options didn't make sense without adding the 428.

I'm not paying more now for something I would have never ordered if I was alive in 1968...

My sis and her hubby bought a brand new gto in 70 when he got back from 'nam.
400 big block 4 speed hurst shifter, 8mpg Green with stripes,special ordered for him. less than $3k,lol. They order new cars every 3 years or so; they always get the best options.She had a 5,0 in the 90's, when I had the firebird. I remember her having a bag phone then; I'll ask if it was built in. I had an og moto flip phone, lol.
