My F150 needs a new windshield, but I don't want to lose the stickers. Anyone know of good options duplicate stickers for way to get them off. The one I'm really concerned about is the Post Sticker that is original to the truck (its my dad's old truck). That sticker has been on there since 1990 my dad finished his time (24yrs Army) with the truck and I want to keep that sticker on it as its always been there.

I've gone looking for replacements and all I see is SG-1, and I know getting a duplicate can be a touchy subject even though these aren't used anymore.

Iirc, those are made not to come off;You could try writing to the post commander, and see if they will help.
Taking a hirez photo and printing one is an option.

Well Colin Powell is no longer with us...
Tyler Perry Studios has also taken over that post.

What are they made of? Maybe using a little heat to soften up the adhesive will help them come off cleanly?

Get good photos first then I think I would try heating but from the opposite side of the glass the sticker is applied to.

I appreciate your dad's service sir and find highly commendable what you are doing but must admit I clicked on this thinking "haha what kind of nonsense is this/what stickers are that amazing".. Highly apologize for that now

Military surplus store anywhere near you? We don't have one around any more. They did carry stickers and patches, but I never looked into what they had or could get.

Didn't think of that but doubt get one for Fort Mac, out of the Ft Campbell area. But I'll look into it.

I think the issue with trying to peel it off is its 35 years old at this point. 35 years in the sun and elements, this truck never saw a garage and currently has 600k+ miles.

No hard feelings, I was government issue(those of you that know the reference understand) so doesn't hurt my feelings.

I think I still have a non-used front bumper sticker from one of the air bases we were stationed at. Not sure if I would ever put it on one of my cars or not. I recall the old ones getting pretty dried out and crackly after a few years of exposure to sun and elements. I would imagine the windshield stickers are probably the same foil based material?

Not foil but fairly faded and cracked at this point, but been that way for more than a decade.
