In search of an aluminum differential case from a Mark VIII.

Seeking to drop some weight this winter and this is part of my equation.

Keep in mind the diff is sprung weight in an IRS car, what tens of pounds of weight shed only really has an effect on wight distribution which is definitely not favorable on this front heavy chassis. The aluminum case looks better but for the strict purpose of weight removal I think will counteract its benefit, it’s also more complicated to rebuild with the need for a case spreader.

I will be shifting about 60 pounds to behind the rear axle, so my distribution should still be good with a lighter diff.
