- 1993 Ford Thunder SC 3.8 turbocharged
my 3.8 engine parts are for sale.
- 3.8 SC block
- stock SC crank
- Eagle H-beam rods
- Ross forged pistons, I was told 8.8:1 compression with the split port heads that were on it
- custom grind Comp cam, it was ordered with their Ford 3630 lobe for both intake and exhaust, 112 LSA, 4 degree advance. lobe specs are:
it was running great (made 471whp on the dyno at 16 psi) until i bent valves and broke the timing chain so it's all been disassembled. i'm sure someone could use this stuff to bring a mean build together on the cheap. i just picked it up from Pake's Engine in Janesville, WI to make sure there's no major problems that would get in the way of using this stuff. the camshaft has two lobes with moderate wear compared to the others but they told me it can still be used without probs. the crank has a couple of fine lines so could use a polish. one piston apparently chewed up a small piece of debris at one point but they said it really shouldn't cause issues.
i'm not looking to make big money from this stuff lol, i would just like to get what i just paid the machine shop + at least get a little more than scrap value so $600 is what i'm asking. plus i'll throw in the Johnson 2368S lifters from this engine and if you pick up from my garage you can take whatever other bits and pieces like the dipstick, oil pan/windage tray/pickup etc. if you want it. located in Elkhorn, WI 53121. will post pics later, i'm exhausted from multiple projects going on atm!
oops forgot to put the transmission info. M5R2 manual trans out of my 1993 supercoupe in good working condition, had absolutely ZERO problems with it since i bought my car in 2015 even with 2.5x stock horsepower levels lol. the front seal has a small leak since literally the day i drove it home almost 10 years ago... $400, no shifter included - see below
