I know some of us here have been talking about doing a 3D scan and print of our plastics, namely the cluster and radio bezels, for the last few years, and it looks like there's someone who is dedicated to doing just this!

My wife found the guy on FB and forwarded me his page and after watching some of his videos, he seems to do good stuff! He has a Google Doc sheet for taking orders.

I'm definitely going to check him out for replacement bezels.

Has he confirmed that he can do a piece that large?

I don't think finding someone who runs a shop for 3D scanning/printing is the issue. It's finding a place that can deal with a piece as large as the cluster surround.

Agreed. You'd need a really large printer to spit one of those out. I'd like to see pricing, video of production, a completed piece, how they're packaged and shipped and some third party review and referral before even considering sending payment for one.

I will reach out to him and ask this very question!

Looking at his videos, he has posted a couple of bezels for other cars, but they're not as large as ours, so still a valid question.

I had parts picked out to do a .5 x .5 x.5 meter one before that supplier folded, but it can be built cheap,>1000 bux could do a meter cube. you need a feeder head, 3 stepper motors, 3 acme thread ed rods, 6 guide rails,a control board, and something to bolt it to. open source software is available online.
