Borla ProXS or Magnaflow

@Zep5.0 the magnaflow one would be cool but it would have vbands to swap to the quiet mufflers during the week.

I stay in the city of Arcadia currently so mainly Asians, and it’s funny because before I was in the hoods of Los Angeles and the cars of choice over there are mustangs, Camaros and chargers, and over here in Arcadia it’s all BMW’s AMG’s GTR’s and Porsche gt3’s and some super cars haha guys with money.

And where I'm at, 1-1/2hrs east of you, it's all the Bros with their lifted trucks sporting their flags and soccer moms and their large SUVs 😂.

And 5 hours North .. just about every other car is a Tesla or some kind of EV. 🙄

Thank you so much. She’s a real pleasure to drive…. On the rare occasion I get to take it out…
I bet she is, the question that I have though is what have you done? I've got a 97 Lx with a 4.6 in it but I'm unsure of what to do with it. It is all white but I want to give it new life and the power i believe it should of had. Any suggestions?

I've done everything to it over the years. New engine, fuel system upgraded to support E85, new transmission, new exhaust system, half-shafts, drive gears, new brakes, rims & tires, stereo system, paint job, etc., etc. I have a partial list in my garage. You can read the list here.

I need to finish copying it over, but most of the information is there.

As far as your car, barring doing an engine swap (I'd recommend the PI Explorer swap). I'd start with making sure the suspension is solid, J-Mod the transmission, get a high stall convertor (I recommend the 2,100 stall Marauder Convertor), Replace the rear end gears - I recommend going with 3.73's. From there get a tune and then go after the exhaust and brakes. Get the Mustang 40mm dual piston calipers in the front but keep in mind that you'll need 17" or 18" rims to clear them. You can leave the rear brakes alone, I'm still running the stock brakes in the back of my car.

That will get you a good basic start and a fun car that performs WAY better than stock.

Awesome I'll have to start looking into this any good reliable places you go to order parts?

Well, you're only a 4 hours drive from my mechanic, Robert down in Carthage, NC. Give him a call and put a plan together. You can reach him at his shop at (910) 947-7044. He's done a lot of work for a lot of us over the years and knows these cars inside out.

I don't have the time right now to put together a list of parts sources. Maybe others can help out.
