I've been using a slightly older model of this Toro which I bought when we moved here just over 7 years ago. Never had any issues with it - all I do is sharpen the blade each year and add gas. Pull it once or twice and it starts every time. Supposedly it never needs an oil change - just add to top off; which I've yet to need to do. :beek:

I spent a long ass time fighting blackberries today. The neighbor is very elderly and the entire fence line had something that wants to crawl over
I'll take a box of them off your hands. My toddler eats them like crack.

I have to say the electric push mowers really have come such a long way that it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to keep messing with the gas push mowers. One full battery will mow more than you would want to do with a push mower, no gas cans or oil changes to worry about, no cleaning out the carburetor that got gummed up with ethanol gas sitting all winter, no ears ringing or smelling like gas when you are done mowing. The ride-ons are a different story, the gas powered ones are still more capable and much cheaper, but for a push mower, you won’t regret getting a battery powered one.
Our plat is on the side of a ridge. It's a giant hill so a rider is out of the question. Unless I want to spend thousands on a walk-behind, a push mower is my only real option. My only worry with battery mowers is finding a new battery in four years when it inevitably quits holding a charge.

I can also get REC90 within walking distance from the house, so no ethanol issues.

Wife bought me a Honda a few years ago .. it sits for most of the year, but fires right up every time. I've done zero maintenance, it's still running the oil that came in the box. 😉
My parents have a Honda and have had the same results. I should have splurged, but Craftsman offered me a free replacement after I complained enough about the last one.

You know, after it burnt itself to the ground in my hands despite being less than a year old.

I bought a Toro at Home Depot years ago to replace a Craftsman that had rotted out. It's been great and the only thing I've had to do to was to rebuild the gear box for the front wheel drive. Changed the belt while I was at it. I sharpen the blade and change the oil, plug and filter every season.

Also inherited a Honda from my neighbor who started using a landscaper. Same maintenance as the Toro, I alternate them every other cut.
