Classifieds and Auctions Thread

It’s certainly the quality of build I often see on the FB group 😂

IMO the covered airbag made me think it was blown and repaired. It’s like how when I see the rockers blacked out it makes me think rust repair, even if it is a well executed personal touch

He must have been on CarDomain :)

I truly do not understand the FB groups. Mostly because I don't care to I guess. Message boards are so much easier to sort/navigate/find stuff. I personally detest FB. I have a faux account so I can search Marketplace which is equally disorganized and the search is absolutely terrible.

Amen. I don’t dislike anyone personally in the group but the Facebook part of it is just miserable. Does anyone actually like infinite scrolling? If so please explain to me why!

Marketplace was my reason for not just deleting my account there, but it’s become as bad as Craigslist, if not worse with the tire kickers, low ballers, bots and flakes. I finally sold my Honda Shadow there a few weeks back but I must have had 30 messages between then and when I listed it asking “is it still available” with no response to my “yes!”.

Cardomain was unironically better 😆

I don't even have an account there, or anywhere else really. I had my fill of social media in 2006 and early 2007 (MySpace top 8 drama anyone!?) and when I left, I never returned to any platform. Well, except maybe a LinkedIn, which I don't really use aside from accepting invites from coworkers or professional acquaintances I know.

I wouldn't say that I am "on" social media. It is handy when locating hard to find stuff. In years past I would find it on ebay and then craigslist. I still find stuff on both, but certainly marketplace has more volume. It is clear that most of the idiots migrated over there years ago so it takes extra time to sift through the garbage which is quite plentiful.

All these sites I registered to at one time or another out of peer pressure but I pretty much abandoned them as far as my being active goes immediately after that. I play around with Instagram a little bit now and then since it’s ostensibly just a place to put pictures and video but it’s just a hive of narcissism there and gets old real fast. Last time I was active there I gained like 100 followers in a month and they were almost all whore bots trying to catfish lol

My wife likes visiting the Instagram vs. Reality subreddit. It's horrifying what people do to themselves.

Is it just me, or are these people out of their fucking minds?

Good luck finding the replacement quarter window with the chrome trim! Also 20 years in a barn with wide open windows and velour fabric interior? I don’t think I’d get inside that car without a full full hazmat suit. Chewed up wires, mold, rodent nests, rodent skeletons, and turds in every dark corner

The 80s GFX kit is the only thing of note there, and I bet it’s covering a lot of rust

That thing is ready for Derek to rig up a fuel pump in a 5 gallon gas can, and not make the trip home.

Had to look it up... Video says it gets 17 MPG and is 130dB at idle

This is an interesting item, because the condition (rust free) is unique. It's used, but looks almost NOS.

Also, and I'm getting nerdy here, the shape of the little windows for the indicator is unusual: they're more flat/rectangular, less square than what I'm used to.

Wow, that undercarriage is clean!

The more you read, the worse it gets.

BC isn't really that far from you. Relatively speaking.
