This is pretty damn neat. Not something I’d do (minus the taillights which I not only did but I’m 100% certain was copied from either me or Cougarcragar) but grafting on the bulk of a 96-98 Cobra bumper seamlessly and the 93 Cobra wheels which I always yearned for on a MN12 build.

Price is still stupid though 😆
Not sure how I feel about the Cobra bumper cover, but I approve of the rest. I think the chrome trim around the side windows needs to be changed to something else.

Wasn't this on the earlier years? Swapped out?

Joe

No. 89-92 XR7s used black trim, 89-92 LSs got the chrome trim, then when the 93s consolidated all Cougars into XR7s they used the LS chrome trim to 1997.

Tbirds on the other hand were opposite, 89-92 base models used the chrome trim, SCs and Sports used the black (and I think there were some LXs without too as an option). In 1993 when once again submodels were consolidated all Tbirds got the black trim, so that makes the chrome trimmed quarter windows pretty hard to find now a days, likewise the black Cougar quarter windows

I think the wheels would be better on an earlier car with less body kit. More of a modern wheel might make that car a bit sportier.

I always wanted to take the lower part of that bumper and graft it to a cougar bumper just below the first set of air vents where the fog lights went. Since I can't sell my 95 bumper, if I happen across a cobra bumper for free, I might try it.

Thankfully no interior rust yet. Just some minor surface rust on the exterior from the grass. Pretty confident that isn't an '87 unless somebody changed some parts on it.

This vehicle has no significant damage or problems
Please define "significant".

Those G bodies used to get bowling ball sized rust spots(and holes) all over the body sides around here, so that one isn’t so bad I guess 😆

Minor surface rust from grass on the body… parked on an asphalt driveway….

They definitely rust out bad around here, my dad has an 83 Hurst Olds, he bought another one to cut up to fix all the rust on his, fortunately all the rust on the parts car was solid on his. Anyone interested in a closer look I might be able to check it out, not too far from where I work...front end is like 82-86, 87 and 88 got composite headlights instead of sealed beams.

I've actually run into this guy once at O'Reillys. Still during tstsnbn times. The paint scheme was pretty cool.

That rear quarter window tint is 100%. And rear seat cupholders. I think that rear seat has seen its share of good times.

It does seem like he already tackled most of the known maintenance issues. Except for the air suspension, unless the "New coil spring conversion front and rear. All the takeoff parts included." takes care of that?

Yes, he got rid of the air suspension in favor of Springs.

Koni shocks for the mustang are still available. They fit well.

It's a beautiful car for sure, but that CFI V6, C5 trans, and 2.73 rear end combo do not make the car overly enjoyable to drive.

Gotta make sure to cover up the license plate so somebody doesn't have their cop buddy look up your address from it and come to your house in the middle of the night, burn your house down and steal this gem. Also, can you at least make it look like you put some effort into cleaning some of the trash out of the car?

I see that pretty often on reposts. The older listing was a lower price. Maybe the strategy is to buffer the haggle power, I dont understand
I know what I have, now.

He’s actually asking a reasonable price also.

Agreed...

The only thing that bothers me: it says garage kept, yet it has some of the typical fading of front amber side reflector, door pillar trim.

Still, decent asking price, great color combination, good mileage, looks all original. If I was in the market, I'd definitely take a look at it.

Here's a beauty. Ok, it's a V6...but it's a good engine for daily driving, and you can touch 30 mpg on road trips.

Better call....Sal? Doesn't look too bad, but I've seen my share of rusty low mileage cars. Definitely a reasonable price.

$500!

Some interesting interior color coordination there. You could learn a thing or two from this fellow.

Holy catalytic converters Batman! I'm not sure I've ever seen that many on a system. Must be a CA thing.

New Edge mustangs use 4 total, earlier SN95s use 6!!! It’s actually 50 state(although CA has its influence given the percentages). I’ve been using a stock 03 Cobra midpipe from a Illinois car since 2018 and it’s a 4 cat H pipe setup. With the new kooks it’ll be, well, not that😆
