I still have a set stored away I bought in 2017. Took them off because I didn't like the look. Looking at my email history I paid $22.79.

Ones I have don't have this part though, they are clear all the way around.

Must have been a few different types being made.

I gather there were at least two, one by Depo and one that was more (at least, IIRC) of a cheaper knock-off type.

I'm currently looking for a pair because I love the look, but probably should worry about a header panel first. 🤔

As of a couple years ago, the ones that came with mine aren't lookin too good anymore, after about 8 years of purchasing. Hope they come back in some other capacity. In my opinion they're suited for black or purple paint

Correct. And the NHTSA launched a recall for these as they're not code compliant - which evidently the buyers know and don't care about.

Technically I'm not sure white reflectors of the "good" clear corners was NTHSA compliant either as I'm pretty sure it should be amber. For me the bad clear corners simply looked bad, with the lack of reflector, or the lack of lens lines that don't match the headlights etc. Plus they seemed to yellow worse with age compared to he DEPO ones

Correct. Anything without amber was non-compliant. But an actual recall over this seems excessive.

Shame about the rust and dent, moonlight blue is just pure sex on these cars and extremely uncommon on Cougars. I don't recommend anyone here buy it but just squint at the bad spots and admire it.

Here's a great sus as fuck one. Marauder with no engine and no title. "don't ask too many questions" and the images showing the engine to anyone with any mod motor knowledge is showing a disassembled gen 1 Mark VIII engine

Our state seriously frowns on a lack of title; even scrapyards wont touch them.
My dad gave me the black 750 without one, in'94.
After he died, as executor, I was able to get a 'lost title' from the state.
I found out in '05 that it belonged to a guy I went to hs with. he died stuffing it under a car, running from the cops. My dad got it from his mom. frame is tweaked a bit, it turns easier to the right. I haven't ridden it since. I only kept it because I bought a red one just like it. and like the black and red cougars, the vin numbers are about 1000 apart.

There were some (presumably unintentionally) misleading online sales sites with black & white pictures of replacement corners, giving the impression of clear ones. But it was just the absence of color photography.
I ordered mine off of parts geek and they were clear on the picture but when I got them they were not.
