Caught in the act. Hard to tell how much if any of the rearend has to be cut up for this kit.

Posting this just because of that luxury coupe comparison article posted a bit ago. Very clean and the engine should be good to go now. Wheels look a little big-ish for me. Price is not bad at all.

383 two barrel and it is pretty clean looking, but he is asking quite a bit for it in my opinion.

My gf's parents had a green version of the white one; it came up for sale, and when I asked her dad how much, she said she'd break up with me if I bought it, lol.

lol. I found out it was from michigan, and falling apart. I think he gave it to a jy.

Fuselage Mopars are a guilty pleasure, so I’m quite smitten by that Newport. I legitimately find that more appealing than a 383 69 Roadrunner for 1/5th the money. All the under the skin engineering that makes Mopars of the era unique and cool is in those!

Yeah, I'm not sure why I like them so much. I look at that car and then I look at my '91 Crown Vic out in the parking lot that is in very similar condition that I never drive because it doesn't handle very well and it gets poor gas mileage and ask myself how a '69 Chrysler Newport that weighs several hundred pounds more would be any better. I do like the lines on the Chrysler though.

SCP 89-93 raised cowl hood with ram air scoops. Brand new in box. Good price if you can figure out how to get it home.

It’s heavier but it’s not that much heavier, C bodies weigh the about as much as a modern Charger/Challenger. For me there’s something magical about Mopar torsion bars and offset leaf springs that give them bluesmobile magic. I just like the style, it was the last gasp of Chrysler trying to make full size cars cool, and for me it peaked with the fuselages. Comparitively Ford and GM full sizers got very boxy and conservative by this point, Chryslers on the other hand looked like gigantic Chargers.

NGL I hate that hood, never liked it, never will like it, it’s three different hood styles shoehorned into one. Stock is better!

One of thehardest things I've ever done was try to explain to a welder why welding the torsion bar didn't work. :)
I took both pieces to our next bonfire, put them in, and when they were cherry red, I put them in the ash pit, and covered them with more ashes. Gave them back a few days later, cold. Told him to weld it back together. I annealed it again in a fire, then got it red hot and quenched it in the old oil barrel. Worked great!

With one exception, there has been a concerning absence of MN12s than usual this year. Here's a probe though! They want it sold locally before putting it on BAT

I have a mint Trans Am 4th Gen WS6 ramair hood in my shed. It's worth ~$1500 or so. I listed it on eBay for "Local Pickup Only" and clearly advertised it as I will not ship it.

I was getting a message almost everyday asking if I could ship it.
Gave up and deleted the listing, it's still sitting in my shed.

What’s funny is I always found the front end of the second gen Probe looked uncomfortably similar to the C5 Corvette.

Speaking of which, you could just buy the Vette it resembles for the same money 😝

I'd rather have the vette, but I swapped the firebird for my sis' probe for a couple of days; fb had fold down seats, and she was doing a bake sale. Probe was nice! A really fun car to drive. The guy she sold it to stuffed it under a truck. :(

I'm trying to figure out why it has the wrong wheels with such low miles. I prefer these, but they are incorrect on a 94. Lots of money for wrong wheels 😅

Other curiosity is the lack of SE (Blue Max et al) emblems on the quarters, that looks like the stripe kit that got applied to them at dealers but no identification to really drive up the markup.

I used to have that cargo net but have no idea what happened to it after I took it out

Super rare T56 5 speed.

Possible great car to just fix and drive, but oof that vinyl top.

Could be rust free rocker panel car for not a ton of money. Check out the OEM-ish radio. Seems like I saw something similar in an 80's Grand Marquis a while back also from Blaupunkt I believe.

Midnight blue on that Cougar, agreed damn shame it has that stupid top, that’s a great color and it looks like it has a lot of good parts. Very uncommon to see them with those wheel covers, fun fact with those particular ones they use the same center cap as the XR7 7 spokes

Like the ad above, it never ceases to amaze me how much people try to get other people to do free work for them. The other one I see a lot is an offer for someone to come cut down a bunch of trees for someone and for payment they will let them keep the wood. What a bargain.

Shifting gears a little. Not sure if I've posted these before, but a handful of Bullitt intakes on ebay. Some more complete than others. Some more expensive than others.

What on God's green earth is going on in this interior? Black carpet, and front seats, grey rear seats, tan front seat trim?

Can't post pics since I'm not logged in to FB at work. I saw that car. I think the seat side trim is grey? To me it looked like they just swapped black front seats and carpet into a grey interior car. It looks like a decent car though they make no mention of the damage to the passenger rear quarter panel.

It may just be the sun, but it looks more grey today than when I first looked.

Interesting that it has the black XR7 quarter windows and side window trim

I don't know what to think. I'm another picture there's a blue SC beside it. So they at least know something about MN12s. It's had a respray in parts so maybe they swapped them? It's a V6 car, too.

This thing is kind of a mess. 94/95 front end with Xenon(?) front ground effects. Appears to have 89-93 SC side GFX and rear bumper cover and 89-91 rear decklid and tail lights? 89-92 SC wheels. Great picture of the keys. No brakes.
Am I the only one that cannot stand the whole "yeah just testing the waters to see what is out there and what kind of offers I can get" schtick in for sale ads? You're either selling it or you aren't. If you are, list a price. If I like it I'll buy it. If I don't I'll pass.

Yes, that's so frustrating. I think they believe someone will offer them more than they would have listed it for. That's when I ask how much they want for their $500 car.

Other than the suspension, is a beautiful car. You couldn't rebuild a 100,000 mile car to that nice for that money. If it was a combo I wanted, I would pay $17-18k for that car. 5-speed would be closer to 20k.

That's probably just my take after spending way more than that on an old pile of rust 😅
