
I recently did a fluid change & installed a new pan on the 4R70W in my Ex. It’s a 2000 w/ ~204k miles. The PO gave me all his receipts for maintenance and he took emasculate care of it so I know the trans fluid was changed regularly, it was also still nice n red w/ no burnt smell when drained. I have no shifting issues.
The debris on the magnet was probably some of the worst I’ve seen, about twice its original size. Should I be concerned and planning or a rebuild soon, or is it likely that the prior shops just never cleaned the magnet off?
