Debris on magnet

I recently did a fluid change & installed a new pan on the 4R70W in my Ex. It’s a 2000 w/ ~204k miles. The PO gave me all his receipts for maintenance and he took emasculate care of it so I know the trans fluid was changed regularly, it was also still nice n red w/ no burnt smell when drained. I have no shifting issues.

The debris on the magnet was probably some of the worst I’ve seen, about twice its original size. Should I be concerned and planning or a rebuild soon, or is it likely that the prior shops just never cleaned the magnet off?

I can't imagine dropping a pan and not cleaning the magnet. I mean part of the draw is making the inside of the pan look like it is brand new before reinstalling it, but I suppose. It is possible they pumped the fluid out to change it and didn't drop the pan.

If the toy wasn't in the pan, it's been dropped at least once. I would.n't worry about it until it acts up. Is it jmodded?

The toy was not present. I've not done any Jmod work to it. It has a factor "tow" package so it had a small trans cooler, I swapped that out for a much bigger one.

I take a pic so later I can figure out when all the damage I'm fixing later happened. "That's where all those aluminum shards came from!"
