Finance Thread - What stocks are you in, etc.

Glad to see Intel go back up after Nvidia's news. I bet Dubs is happy bout that :)

My gains are currently around 74% - 78% on INTC between my brokerage accounts .. was buying under $20.

One of many to have a substantial increase within the last few months.

Ive been picking up a lot more ACHR lately, my buy in was originally under $7, but its basically breaking even right now / for now.

Consider taking a look at Planet Labs for a play on what to do when the govt downsizes the amount of information we make available to the public..for example, because of reasons, the govt no longer wants to monitor CO2 emissions. Even if you believe that global warming is a hoax perpetrated by the granola industry (it's not), farmers rely on this data for crop health tracking.

Military needs aside, if the government cannot supply this data, the private sector will. Here's a company that looks like they can solve this niche using their much lower cost LEO sats.

On a different note, one of the largest mfgs of OE aftermarket parts in the US just declared bankruptcy. I wonder if this will cause parts for certain vehicles to dry up.

Looks like an opportunity for increased prices on the existing inventory, yay!

Both Archer and Joby are supposed to be conducting public flights this weekend at the Salinas international air show ( Blue Angels will be a no show due to the "govt"). Joby is based out of Santa Cruz and Archer in San Jose .. both are local to me. Going long on both but Im much heavier on ACHR. 😉

I was just taking to my Merrill Edge agent about Joby. They've had quite the run since March.

1 year ago today .. Just hit $7K

My youngest son's brokerage account. I had been putting a little into here every week and then I offered him a deal - when he does work or chores around the house, I told him I would match every dollar he puts into savings.

Then he asked about buying stocks so I started to pick up a few shares here and there as the cash balance piled up. His first purchase was Tesla and Nvidia on 10/8/24 .. and here's what it looks like as of today. 😉
Fantastic!

Not all of us can afford California.

Fair point. I'll keep my 0% income tax rate and three-figure annual property tax bill, though.

$0.27/egg. Not great, not terrible.
The 18 pack was $5.22 and the 12 pack was $3.80-ish.

I buy 18 packs all the time, 12 packs when the 18 packs aren't available. This was my first 60 pack I bought, and I think I'm going to be buying this more often. We go through eggs pretty quickly also helps the rational for buying the 60 pack.

Skipped out on this dip. Hoping for better next time.

No idea why a 20 pack is so wonky.
