Mods or changes you want to do…… but never will.

I think a big part of that is the conventional wisdom that a black interior should be an available option on any car. The fact that it was  not an option seems counterintuitive, at least by today's standards. So when people see your interior, rather than being surprised it's black, they're surprised they haven't seen a black one before.

Totally agree. I mean two directly connected pieces of MN12 trivia that always surprised me is #1 black was not offered in 1989, and #2 that black was deleted after 1993 and green introduced in 1994. My desire for it to seem more extremely rare than it in reality is nonexistent, not just to trick casual observers but myself who knows better.

I was just perusing fleabay and remembered this one; 99 or 01 Cobra upper intake with the recessed Cobra emblem. God I want one of these so bad, but only for about $200 max

Other than the Cobra emblem I prefer yours. I think the pancake valve and whatever the item next to it is makes it look like those were an afterthought on the Cobra intake. I assume you don't need that middle piece. Of you can also delete the valve then I can see the want.

Yeah, it looks cool, but there's 1 bump different on that lid, and they spent more time on the passages than they did on our mach intakes. I've fixed all that, and polished the top.
I'm not adding a snake. It was not worth the cash for the snake. :)

That’s the EGR and EVR… they’re deleted on mine right now because there’s no compatible tube with Kooks but I might add it back if I am daring enough to try DIY welding two tubes together 😂

The lid is basically identical as far as flow, all the work Ford made was in the lower so the top is really just aesthetic and I always wanted that aesthetic

You currently have the Mach intake right? It still looks pretty cool besides minus the cobra logo.

Are you ever goong to throw your car on the dyno any time soon? I’d love to see those numbers. A cheap upgrade you can do is porting the lower housing a bit, it’s pretty much all on the inside, those openings that lead into the chamber. I look for the graph but I think it picks up nice number up top and carries it for a lil longer.

Not likely, I’d considered taking it to one to iron out some of the issues I’ve been having tuning for the cams but apart from idle running it around with the WB I’ve got it pretty well dialed off idle to WOT so spending $1000 for the tuner to do what I’ve been stubbornly resisting to do(raise it from 750RPM to 850RPM) is just a waste of money. Plus I just don’t particularly care about the numbers.
