Bought a new 16e Saturday because my 11 could no longer update because of storage. Only the songs I bought from Apple migrated to the new phone so I started moving songs from the PC to the phone myself. Everything was going great until yesterday when I unplugged the phone from the PC for about an hour. Went back to move more songs, now the album artwork on the songs I'm moving now is screwed up.....nothing is right! I had an issue like this a few years ago but can't remember how it cleared up. I've tried shutting everything down and nothing seems to help.

Ideas?

I've had trouble with iTunes screwing up album artwork in the past. I guess Apple STILL hasn't figured it out. Not sure how to fix.

The fact that it was fine one minute then fucked up the next is aggravating! :zbash:

Im not on apple but isn't it something like placing the image file into the album folder that hosts the tracks and title it "cover.jpg"

Yeah, that's done automatically or by the user.

Normally it's not a big deal to fix yourself but when they get scrambled and you've got say, more than 10 to fix. It gets annoying to sort out.

I'm talking about a 1000 songs I still have to move, I don't feel like dealing with moving them and they're all messed up.

Do you listen to that much music on your phone?

Do you really NEED your whole music library on your phone?

Not trying to be an ass here Joe but I listen to a fraction of my library and actually just stream what I listen to. I have a subscription to YT Music and just grab whatever I'm in the mood for from there.

Have you considered other options? My suggestion is to just grab your favorites, a favorite album or two or a favorite play list and just download that to your phone. When you tire of that just download something else piecemeal instead of trying to add everything at once.

I've got nearly a terabyte of music on my desktop but I sure don't listen to all of it.

Do I NEED it, probably not. But I get what you're saying.

The thing is. I listen to the music off the phone a lot. In the car, at work, walks, bike rides. I don't really feel like just changing things around when I have everything there and put it on shuffle. A little Van Halen followed by some Buddy Holly and Asia make for a happy Joe!

Anyway, back to the issue. Fixes are all over the place, from deleting everything (music) off the phone to this that and the other thing!

Yeah, that would be my only suggestion. Delete everything, start over and hope for the best.

Just an update.

Whatever brain cramp was going on seemed to have cleared. I'm moving songs and everything is fine so far, but the ones that I moved earlier need to be addressed. Solution seems to be is to delete the songs from the music library for the phone in iTunes then reinstall them.
