I feel like an update is long due here. After a couple pan drops/fluid changes, new 1-2 accumulator piston, dropping spring, and using scotch brite on a drill attachment to scuff up the bore it has shifted just fine for months. I do not think the "hi per blue" piston i got was necessary or works any better than the black molded piston because my issue at the time was that the bore itself was too rough to let the piston actuate. I forgot why i even have the blue piston in the first place other than maybe it being a bit stiffer material and i thought the damaged bore would accept it more readily? either way with buffing and a bit of driving the issue worked itself out
Seems like i got very lucky. Not much of any material in the pan the last time i checked, just the bad accumulator and bore that i smoothed out and as ive driven the car the shifting has only gotten better. i wouldnt like to jinx it but im glad i just didnt have to deal with anything electrical. 1-2 piston was really easy to access and when i first posted about the harsh 1-2 shift my mind went to a lot worse things fast
