I was wondering if the passenger side seat belt latch can be fixed from it not staying connected? Before I start spraying WD-40 or looking for a new seat belt, what can I do to fix it?

When you connect the seat belt to the seat belt latch, it won't stay locked.

I think you need a new one; it is usually a broken spring, on the older cars I've had.

Thank you Grog, that makes sense. "Do I have to use eBay?" :p

Actually, I don't need the one in the back for the 3rd person. (y)

Guess I will need to find one to replace it. The backs are not the same as the front passenger.

Have you checked to see if anything fell into it?

It is the weirdest thing... I take the seat out to get to the bolt to remove the seat belt latch. I sprayed with some lubricant and plugged in the seat belt... over and over and over and it held everytime. Cleaned out the carpet under the seat, took care of some stains on the side wall of the center console and put the seat back in. Tried the seat belt over and over and over and over... not once did it NOT connect.

Telling you... something about wives that just changes the dynamics of things.
