Standing 1 and 1.5 mile LSR

I didn't see any smoke;I was busy, lol A black police looking car coming up fast, people tend to get out of the way.

I never have seen the inside of a 2v oil pan, but I believe you.
Oiling is something we keep coming back to because I have not found a satisfactory solution for us yet.

The more complex solutions pretty much go hand in hand with a blower setup, and that includes oil seperator devices.

For a simple NA car, a simple solution seems best, Maybe Grog is onto something with a simple physical scraper inside the timing cover to sweep off the chains.

The existing oil pan is fine, and the drainback extension kit will help I think. If I come up with anything, I will share it.

I think we pretty much covered the gear ratio and setup subjects. OIling can be revisited.

As we prepare the car for the mission, we will seek help from you along the way.

Is the bird really that slippery with a .31 drag coefficient?? Godamn that’s pretty good.

What are you planning to do for aero??

As I write this, there was a guy on YouTube Julian Edgar who wrote a book called modifying the aero dynamics of your road car. Anyways, all his videos are down which sucks ass because it was a wealth of knowledge in regards to aero, pretty much he praises belly pans. Making the bottom as flat as possible in order to get the air underneath to flow smoothly under the car and clean out. One of the easiest ways to improve is in the front of the car, much like how the new cars have plastic covers underneath you pretty much do the same thing.

After watching the video I made a cheapy pan for my bird, out of Home Depot board. Pretty much I secured it from where the bottom of the radiator is, where the plastic bumper meets at the radiator. All the way past the rack n pinion. After, at freeway speeds the car felt more planted. Not sure how to explain but everything was improved including the steering, it stuck better to the ground. Don’t have any data to back my claims but you’re welcome to try yourself with some MDF or ABS board.

Also made a similar one in the rear that’s still in place. Took the front off because it made oil changes a bitch hahaIMG_6607.png
