What are you Listening To?

I've been a fan since before he got kicked out of metallica.
Sux ass, but we're getting old. :)

Heavy metal wasn't my thing for the most part. I did love Sympathy of Destruction, tho l. Guess I was more mainstream, like Metallica, etc.

Megadeth has been done for me SINCE Symphony of destruction, just like Metallica since the black album

I could actually skip the black album. Really enjoyed Load, reload was decent and the garage stuff was really good. But I was in high school during the late 90's so I had to like Metallica

The few heavy metal bands I like(d) are/were Metallica and their black album and Disturbed; their indestructible album and their cover of Sound of Silence which, I understand, isn’t exactly metal. I never really listened to Megadeth.

I enjoy Disturbed now and then. Maybe not the deepest song writing ever, but it's fun. And the Sound of Silence was great, maybe because it was so different for them. Plus Simon and Garfunkel had some amazing songs.

I surprise a lot of people with my tastes in music. I'm going to see Hank Williams Jr in concert tomorrow night. Slightly different than Megadeath😆

I like Garage inc. for introducing me to a lot of the bands they covered in it. I generally gravitate towards 70s hard rock, nwobhm and even 80s hair metal more than more hardcore heavy metal. However Metallica and Megadeth to me were far superior as 80s thrash bands lol

You’d think I’d get bored of seeing the same clips from car movies/shows I’ve seen a million times played to rock/metal tunes I’ve heard a million times, but nope it rules lol

Just a reminder... for those who care about their Spotify Wrapped, their data pull for 2025 ends today.

So if you've got something you want to bury deep in your top 100 like the Pet Shop Boys, today's the day.

Reminiscing over the 1980’s tonight…

Diane Lane was only 18 when she performed this. Like Rebecca Ferguson and Lauren Allred in the Greatest Showman, Diane lip synced this to a voiceover by studio singer Laurie Sargent.

This is one of my favorite songs of the era. What are you guys jamming to in the new year?

^ Willem Dafoe with a baby face in that movie 🤣

2025 was full of Alina Baraz here. The music was an acquired taste for me, because I repeatedly listened to one ESTA remix with her a decade ago. I finally decided to look at what else she made and it snowballed over the year. Drifting and Fallin is a good place to start. The production and instrument choice is.. peculiar but her voice is unique
